I am Adrianna "Audi" Torrez, a 6'0 stretch 3/4 player, currently representing Centennial High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As I embark on the collegiate journey, I am excited to share my goals, aspirations, and what sets me apart as a candidate for your esteemed team.
Throughout my high school career, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to excellence both on and off the court. Serving as Team Captain for four years at Centennial High School has honed my leadership skills and instilled in me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication. These qualities have not only contributed to the success of our team but have also earned me the title of Student Athlete of the Year for the 2020-2021 academic year.
My basketball journey began at Silver High School, where I earned 1st Team All-District Honors and Conference Player recognition during my 9th-grade year. Contributing to the team's victories, we secured the District 3-4A Conference Championship in 2019, 2020, and 2021. My sophomore year was marked by continued success as I received 1st Team All-District/Conference honors.
Transitioning to Centennial High School, I have maintained a high level of performance, earning 1st Team All-District Honors and Conference Player recognition during my 11th-grade year. We clinched the District Championship in the 2022-2023 season, further showcasing my ability to contribute to a winning team.
One of my notable achievements is being selected as an All-Tournament Player at the Mel Otero Invitational Tournament in 2023-2024. Additionally, my team's impressive run in the New Mexico State Tournament, reaching the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final 4, underscores our collective skill and determination.
What sets me apart is not only my on-court prowess but also my commitment to academics and character. Balancing the demands of being a student-athlete, I have maintained a strong academic standing. I believe that my ability to excel in both academics and athletics demonstrates my capacity for discipline, time management, and resilience.
