Growing up in a small town there is not much to do so picking up extra-curricular activities is important. I picked up basketball in the third grade and ever since I have been a dedicated player of the game. I am determined to push myself to the limits both on and off the court. Dribbling the ball, the swoosh of the net, the roar of the crowd and the success of a well executed play are not just moments in a game, they are reflections of my commitment, hard work and love for the game.
Off the court I am a firm believer in the power of education. Knowledge is the key to open doors to endless possibilities. I am committed to balancing my athletic pursuits with academic excellence and hope that my dedication to both will inspire others. I hope to be a role model for young female athletes in my town demonstrating that with dedication, hard work and passion you can achieve anything. I am enthusiastic about the idea of continuing my academic and athletic journey and achieving my goal of becoming a collegiate basketball player.
Through wins and losses basketball has taught me invaluable life lessons; discipline, teamwork, resilience and determination. These qualities are not just necessary for the court they are life skills that have shaped me into the person I am today.
