My name is Nia Dawson and I'm a graduate of Bridgehampton High School. I am a scholar athlete and I have been on the High Honor Roll since 7th grade. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. Education is the key to success. Therefore, I must work hard on and off the court.
I am a sports fanatic. I love all sports but Basketball is my favorite. I love every aspect of the game from the jump ball to the final buzzer. The position I play is point guard. I play with great intensity. I've been told that I have a mean cross over, great ball handling skills and incredible court vision. My teammates nominated me as the sole captain in 2016 because of how much I encourage them, kept the team pumped up and united.
My dream is to attend a great university that will satisfy not only my academic needs but my athletic needs as well. Nothing would make me and my family happier than being able to play ball on a collegiate level. Basketball is my passion. There is not a day that goes by that I don't have a basketball in my hands. My parents always told me that practice makes perfect and failure is not trying. I believe that I must continue to work hard so all that my dreams will come true!
