I work to the best of my abilities to achieve everything I strive for and eventually it will all be worth it. Basketball was the one thing that always kept me out of trouble and was the one of the things I live for. I work everyday to get better because being successful is my biggest dream and I can't wait till I reach that point of satisfication in making my mother proud. I will be my mothers first graduate and also the first graduate in my household. Graduating alone is a big accomplishment for me and my mother. My mother is legally disabled and has had more than 4 major surgeries in the last 3 years so I can't until the day I make her as proud as I can. She has been through a lot and has provided me with everything I needed and I'm just hoping my efforts will catch someone's eye and help me Acheive my dreams. All of the traumatic events I've been through, from losing my brother when he went to jail and almost losing my mother after she had a brain aneurism, have shaped me into a stronger young women. I was number #1 in my division and averaged 23 points a game my senior year. Playing college basketball and getting a scholarship would honestly be the best thing that can happen to me. I eventually want to get my mother and family out of the Bronx and into a better life.
