A pursuit of happiness and tranquility is one entity that a number of us athletes lack. However, each and every one of us do have a place or environment where we are perfectly content whether it'd be the track, the football field, the pool, etc. The basketball court is the place where I am most filled with bliss. It is not a just a sport to me, it is a way of life. What will remain ambiguous to others will always be my love for the game.
My dream is to simply facilitate my basketball prowess and prove to those who told me I could not accomplish it - wrong. Never is there a day, I don't hear babble about becoming a pro-athlete. It's every player's dream including mine due to the fact that I have the support of an intelligent division one athlete; my brother. Basketball has allowed me to gain the skills of a leader, organizational effectiveness, imperativeness of the idea of team building, exceptional communication skills with my younger teammates, and how to choose better innovative decisions.
I aspire to be a conceptual whiz in everything that I do. I want to excel in the field of Criminal Justice at a great academic college, as well as athletic, where I can work to my fullest potential in order to become a trusted forensic pathologist or psychologist who can help others. I see basketball as a priority, but education is my number one. When it comes down to my schoolwork, I stay completely focused. I leave the fun for last. In this case, the fun is basketball. I always play like it is a life and death situation. Just like I disdain failing tests, I disdain losing games. Losing makes me want to go even harder than the first time. My grind increases in every way. Every practice is my battlefield.
I am the epitome of scholar athleticism. I aspire to lead my team into victory within any division I end up in. If we don't end up on top, we were cheated. I dream to represent my team in a conference room with tons of reporters after putting on an insane performance on the court against a team we never thought we could beat. Always answering a lost with a great comeback is my goal. Even if 100% is given the first time, there is still room for improvement.
