Mariah Locklear '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mariah Jordan Locklear and my dream is to play basketball at the collegiate level. I began playing recreation ball at age 8. While leading my High Schhol JV team to an undefeated record through half the season , I was called up to Varsity as a freshman and soon became a starter. I work hard year round to excel my game . My goal is to continue to elevate my game and to help bring Lumberton High School their 2nd NCHSAA 4A State Championship. Being an inspiration to young females athletes is a priority. I currently volunteer at a recreation center and assist coaches in teaching skill development with younger athletes. I know I have the potential to play at the next level and I am willing to work hard and use all the constructive feedback my coaches have given me. My work ethic is second to none and my aspirations are to continue to be ambitious and to always put my education first.
