Hello, my name is Erin Allen. I am a Senior at Southeast Raliegh Magnet Highschool in Raleigh, NC. I have played basketball since the age of 12. Basketball has become an outlet for life and is a game I truly enjoy. From the beginning, I have exhibited excellent leadership skills on and off the court. On the court, I encourage others to go as hard as possible, provide assistance by being a great teammate and, remain coachable whether in the game, practice, or life in general. In the classroom, I maintain my grades and remain responsible for myself while also, helping others in need through tutoring. I also ensure I stay involved with my school and community. As Student Government president I must exhibit leadership and teamworking skills like those on the court. I make sure to involve everyone while also completing my roles. Individually, as top of class since freshman year, I understand my responsibilities and how to hold myself accountable for my grades and actions. I maintain my own study practices as I maintain a 4.5 GPA and am enrolled in my school's IB Program. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in global health studies or health science research. My end goal from college is to gain a Ph.D. in Global Health or Epidemiology.
Throughout college, I plan to be a well-rounded student as a student leader, athlete, and role model for those around me. I am open to many and all opportunities to play basketball in college and continue my academic career. If given the opportunity I will compete with full effort and heart on the court and in the classroom. I want to make the highest impact on my school, teammates, and my development not only as a player but as a person. In addition, to making my coach and parent proud. With a driven mindset and heart, I believe I can make the biggest impact on a team in many major and minor ways.
