My name is Kassi Brightman and I am a grade 12 student at North Nova Education Centre located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. My first semester grade 12 average sits at a 97.75%, and I am an aspiring science student who is also a committed division one High School girls basketball player! I am the student council president at North Nova Education Centre this year, but that doesn’t stop me from playing the game that I love! Our team has dominated the region in the past two years and successfully made it to division one provincials to face the best teams in the province, finishing fifth overall both times. This year we are planning to use our speed and athletic confidence to triumph into a medal game at provincials this year. I am a 5’8” shooting guard and have played on the team for 4 years, developing my skill since day 1. I am attempting to find a school that is willing to let me continue to play basketball for as long as I possibly can, because my devotion to the sport keeps me happy and healthy, and I truly can’t let go!
