Since falling in love with the game in fifth grade, I have faced many obstacles and learned more about myself than I realized was possible. With an amazing support system, my parents and grandparents, I have always been encouraged to do whatever it takes to reach my true potential. I learned early that I needed extra help to improve my skills, which was when I met one of the most influential people in my life now, Tray Huntsman. One of the hardest obstacles I had to overcome was earning my teammates respect when starting varsity as a freshman. Through playing, I have learned that I am more interested in lifting up my teammates to help them succeed than being a super-star on my own.
My high school aspirations include remaining on the honor roll, graduating with as many college credits as possible, and during my senior year, to job shadow an athletic trainer. In college, I would like to play basketball all four years while receiving an outstanding education that will allow me to pursue my dream of becoming an athletic trainer.
I believe my most unique qualities include my outstanding court vision, being able to make those seemingly unmake-able passes, having been blessed with the ability to play all five positions, and remaining calm under pressure.
