Izzy Meese '16 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to continue playing a game that I truly love at the next level. My passion for the game goes beyond just playing in games. My passion is rooted deeply in every facet of game. I believe in preparation.......countless hours have been spent working on my body, my mind and my game to better prepare me to be a better player and teammate. I have worked extremely hard in the weight room and training sessions with my trainer to condition my body and mind so that when everyone else is tired I am not. In the gym whether it has been at my schools gym or at another coaches gym, I have spent many hours preparing my game and skills so I can perform at the highest levels with more confidence than those who will guard me on the floor. My mind has been trained to not accept failure and that I can push through when times get the darkest. 

I have beliefs in skill work and fundamentals that go beyond just training with a coach. I feel you get better by continually working on your own as well. Many nights have been spent working in my driveway with my parents rebounding. Its at these moments that you can honestly look and see progress and realize that hard work does pay off. 

I have aspirations to continue playing this game and having it a part of my life for a very long time. I study the game, I watch film, I watch as many games as I can because you can never stop learning and making attempts to become a better player. My goals are simple but my aspirations are enormous. And for the school that decides to take a chance on me will be rewarded with these attributes and the work ethic I possess.
