My name is Amaya Gordon, I am 5’8 and weigh 150 pounds. I am currently a junior and have been competing in sports since the 2nd grade. I plan on competing at the next level and I am determined to get there. Being a student athlete teaches you so much. I’ve learned to be responsible, to hustle, work hard, and to always be mentally strong. I’m dependable to my coaches and teammates to always go hard and have a great attitude in and out of sports. I have a 3.9 GPA and have three AP classes. I am dedicated to school and the sports I compete in. I always play with a full heart. My freshman, sophomore and now junior year, I have been a starter for varsity girls basketball. My freshman year we were state runner ups in Oklahoma 5A girls basketball. I believe that mistakes are a learning opportunity. I think I would be a great prospect to many programs. The love I have and the determination I give will never fade or go away. I’m active in church and I attend FCA regularly. I give my thanks to God for giving me the ability to excel in sports and in the classroom. I am completely humble with the talent that I have, and I will continue working to better myself in sports and academics.
