Being the daughter of two successful college athletes, this game means more to me than most. I guess you would say "it's in my blood." My parents exposed me to it at an early age, and I've had a passion for playing ever since. I would love to continue the tradition in my family of being a successful college student-athlete and look forward to the opportunities that may lie ahead. I strive to be my best in all that I do...whether it's in the classroom or on the field or court, I don't want to let myself or others down. I love being part of a "team" and often consider my teammates "family." My mom describes me as the most "selfless" player she's ever known, so I thought about that in more detail recently. I want nothing more than my team to be successful...whatever that requires of me is what I'm willing to do. If it takes an extra pass for a better shot or if it requires me to dive on the floor for a loose ball, that's what I do...all in an effort to propel my team to victory. I figure I'm a better "me" when I play as all or nothing for my "TEAM."
I was recently votes as "Most Likely to Succeed" out of our high school class. I don't tell this information to boast, but rather as a testimony to my plans for my future. I plan to pursue an undergraduate degree that will prepare me for graduate school admission, and I don't take this lightly! I want to succeed for many reasons and will push myself as I have for my entire academic career thus far.
I look forward to hearing what possibilities are available for me!
