Personal Statement

I am a well-rounded athlete who excels and tries their best at anything I do. I have participated In multiple sports at a high level ever since I was a kid, including volleyball, dance, acrobatics, rugby and swimming. Basketball was a sport I was always interested in, but never really grew a passion for until later on in my teenage years. I now strive to be the absolute best version of myself on and off the court.

I feel that basketball has allowed me to develop new traits and learn and imply new skills into my everyday life, such as leadership. I take on the role of bringing up the spirits and regrouping everyone when needed on and off the court. Participating in many sports as a kid has taught me that being coachable is something that is very important. When I started playing basketball,I learnt more about myself which included that I am a very coachable player who will set goals to reach what is expected from me. My coachability is something I take pride in because it’s not always easy to be coachable, so that is a trait I'm very proud I present.

Not only am I a committed athlete, but I am also a very studious student who is passionate about school. School is something I am passionate about and it will always come first no matter the circumstances. I want to go into the medical field when I am older, as I have this desire and mindset of helping others and putting others before myself. That even applies on the court as I will pass the ball off right away, if someone has a great opportunity to show what they have.

Overall I want to play basketball at a high level in College/University. I am always open to new opportunities and will take the chances when they come. Defence is a strength of mine and I’m not afraid to go in and crash the boards. When I have opportunities to shoot the ball and drive to the basket I will always take them. I put in extra time outside of practices to get better at what I love.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
