Cayton Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

I am what you could call a "gym rat". I am the first one in the gym and the last one out. I thrive off of competition against others as well as myself. One could say our family games nights get a little intense as both my parents have the same competitive drive and played at the D1 level. Growing up I was surrounded by watching Sunday night football and March Madness basketball but basketball was always my true passion. Through middle and high school, I continue to be a well-rounded athlete which has helped me excel in basketball. I'm sure people used this space to share about their other pastimes or hobbies but my biggest passion and where I find myself the happiest, which is in the gym and with my teammates. I am never satisfied and I get the job at hand done. In school and in sports I am usually the leader as I pride myself on my communication skills and work ethic. Although my future is not fully planned out I definitely see myself in the gym more and more.
