Brooklyn Gilbert '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brooklyn Gilbert. I live in Springfield, Oregon with my family and I'm the middle child. My goal academically is to study education to pursue a career in elementary school teaching. I've been playing basketball since 1st grade. I've played a wide variety of sports that include volleyball, tackle football, soccer, baseball, and softball. My parents always believed that I should learn to compete academically and physically. Out of all of these sports, I excelled at basketball and it is the one enjoy the most.  I have put countless hours of work into becoming the best basketball player I can be but I am still striving to get better. I really enjoy having fun while I play but also working as hard as I possibly can. I strive to be an energetic, hardworking player and a positive influence for my team. I want to play college basketball because I believe it would help me grow significantly as an athlete, teammate, and person.
