I started playing basketball in fourth grade, as soon as I picked up the ball I knew that it was my sport. I am learning so much about myself through this game, like how resilient I am. I never would have learned that I could get up so many times after falling down or failing without experiencing the number of setbacks that I have in basketball. The adversity I've endured has given me such a drive to work hard and achieve all the goals I have set for myself. I will continue to work hard on and off the floor.
I come from a family of basketball players: My uncle played Division I at Northeastern, and my mom and other uncle played Division III at Susquehanna and King's College. My grandpa also played basketball and he is now my trainer for shooting, skill work, and quickness. He pushes me past the limits I thought I had and I couldn't thank him enough for that. Once he gave me that push I never looked back and I do not have any regrets about the amount of time I put into this sport and I never will. I am going to continue to work as hard as I can for as long as God lets me. I love the game of basketball and there is no question about that.
