I am in my junior year as a homeschooler living in Greenville, PA.
I play for Greenville High School as a starter from the beginning of my high
school career and will continue to start as I enter into my junior year.
Basketball is my preferred sport and I am fully dedicated and committed to
getting to my full potential. I was in the starting rotation in volleyball both my
freshmen and sophomore year but have chosen not to continue this
particular sport during my junior and senior years so I can further my
knowledge and improve my skills in basketball. I would like to continue to
prepare myself for playing at the college level and I believe I have the skills
to do so.
As a basketball player, I was selected as first team all-region and I
was also among the region’s top scorer with 291 points in my sophomore
year.
As a volleyball player, I was D10 first team all-region during my
freshmen and sophomore year. I also held the position as the region’s lead
killer with 140 kills. At the beginning of my freshmen year I suffered from
patellar tendonitis of both knees, limiting my ability to play either sport.
Following my freshmen year of basketball, I went to rehab for 3 months.
I continued to weight train after completing my rehab to prepare myself for
the years ahead. I consider this the most challenging obstacle that I had to
overcome during my athletic journey. It taught me determination and
fortitude, which I believe are great attributes for being a successful leader.
