Winning the championship my freshman year of high school was my best accomplishment. It was my first championship I won. I came close to winning the championship my 8th grade year but we lost to a team we beat twice. After that day I worked everyday to get better so when we get back to the playoffs, we are going to win. This helped shaping me into the student athlete I am today because it showed me that with dedication and hard work I can accomplish anything I want. My mother was always a big influence in who I am today. She always taught me to work hard for what I want and to do whatever needs to be down to achieve it. She worked so hard to get to where she was at. She is basically my role model and I look up to her. I started playing basketball in 5th grade and loved it ever since.
I think what makes me stand out from everybody else is that I'm a team player. I do what my team needs me to do in order to succeed. I believe teamwork is the most important quality and requirement for being successful. You have to be able to trust your teammates. My coach freshman year always said that referees doesn't help you win games, your team does. That is what stuck with me the most. My academic goals for high school are to end high school with a 4.0 or higher gpa. For college I want to find a career that is right for me and I'm happy doing it while also playing collegiate level basketball and furthering my skills. My unique characteristics I possess is that I am a leader on and off the court. If a teammate is lost on the court I explain to them what they have to do.
