Casey Bivenour '20 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Casey Bivenour. I attend Philadelphia Academy Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pa. I am graduating in the class of 2020, so I am currently a junior going into my senior year. I am a 4 year Varsity starter, and have been selected to an All-Public Team, as well as being named MVP both my sophomore and junior year. I have played AAU basketball for Philly Heat in 2015-2016, when I was an 8th grader. Unfortunately, that team has folded, and currently I play AAU for Conwell. I have been playing basketball all my life, and it is truly my passion. Each day I strive to become a better player. The love I have for this game is undeniable, and the way I play shows this. Each time I step on the court I will give 110%. My strong work ethic and winning attitude I believe sets me apart from most players. I consider myself a well rounded player. I mainly play the forward position, however my ability to bring the ball up and facilitate offense allows me to play the point guard position as well. Some main strengths to my game are driving, mid range pull up, passing, handles, and rebounding. Both my sophomore and junior year for my high school team I have been the leading scorer as well as leading rebounder. I get most excited when I complete a sharp pass putting my teammates into scoring position. I also am a 4 year Varsity starter for my high school soccer team.  

    Although, basketball is my passion I am very focused on my academics. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, as well as being in all AP and Honor classes. The way I work at basketball is the same for my education. My intended major is nursing. I’ve always wanted to help people, and make a difference in others lives. I believe my strong work ethic and wanting to improve whether it is in basketball or academics, keeps me growing as an individual.

     My overall goal is to find a university that will be a match for me in my academic pursuit, that will also allow me to keep doing what I love most.
