Nothing beats hard work. My parents taught me that at a young age. My father, an orthopedic surgeon, explained to me that I can achieve anything I desire, but nothing great will come easy. Halfway through my high school career, I have achieved a 4.3 GPA. I was a varsity letterman as a freshman and sophomore in three sports. In my sophomore year of basketball, I fractured my ankle. I was devastated. I missed the majority of the season. After many sleepless nights of feeling frustrated and disappointed, my parents again gave me great advice: don't start feeling sorry for yourself. Work harder. And I did. I am looking forward to this year both academically and athletically. With my work ethic, I believe I would be a great asset for any team.
