If you are looking for a player who is dedicated, hard working, athletic, competitive, and unselfish, you need to consider me for your college team. I am always willing to learn whatever it takes for the team including new plays or a new position. Playing defense comes natural to me. During my Sophomore season coach could put me in any defensive or offensive position. I am 5 feet 5 inches but I was the player to jump for tip off most of the varsity season my Sophomore year. I'm not afraid to get under the hoop against much bigger girls for rebounds. An all-around player is how I would describe the type of player I am.
I always take advantage of all open gyms and extra work outs. During the off season I take advantage of private lessons, leagues, and working at home. I don't only love the game of basketball, but love all parts of being a good player like running, jumping, lifting, and ball handling.
Working with the youth program at my school is another passion of mine. I love teaching the younger kids how to play. I have volunteered to help coach for the last 6 years. The last 3 years I have been able to referee some of their games. This has helped me see the game from a different perspective and has definitely helped my game.
My academics are just as important to me as athletics. I am taking AP and honor classes my Junior year and doing very well. Balancing academics and athletics has always come easy to me. I always strive to be the best no matter which one.
I look forward to hearing from you and sharing more details about me and my goals for college.
