Joselyn "Josie" Workman '23 Recruiting Profile

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Joselyn Workman.  Josie for short.  My goal is to play basketball at the next level where I can make a difference and continue to excel academically.   I have completed 8 honors classes as of spring 2022.  I seek to major in a general business tract, marketing, management, finance, etc.  I also have an interest in sports medicine, exercise science or psychical therapy.  I took the SAT in May and will take again this fall.  

I am a high character individual with a long history in basketball, learning ball handling skills at an early age.  I am the starting SG/SF for the 5A Byrnes Rebels.  We were back-to-back Region Champs in 2019 and 2020.  I received an All-Region Selection this year.  My stats this season - 280 points, 155 rebounds, 53 steals, 48 blocks, 61% from free throw line and 44% from 3-point line.  I am currently playing for the AAU team Upward Stars Upstate.  

I have speed, quickness and 6 years of playing on multiple teams.  I can play an entire game and take the ball from end to end.  I am comfortable playing any position but excel at the 3 and 4, looking for good match ups.  I have led multiple seasons/teams in points, rebounds, blocks and minutes played.  I love playing defense! 

My 2021-22 Byrnes games and highlights are available on Hudl.  I am visiting schools this summer. I am very interested in attending any Elite Camps you might be hosting.
