Angela Moore '13 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach,

My name is Angie Moore.  I am a junior at Cinco Ranch High School.  That is a 5-A high school in Katy Texas.  Katy is about 20 miles west of Houston.

I am 6’0”, 175 pound post player.     

I am a little shy around people that I don’t know at first but I make friends pretty easily.  Some terms that best describe me are hard-working, a team player, friendly and outgoing.  I am good under pressure.  I respect coaches and my teammates.  I am a good listener and very coachable.  This year, my coach is looking to me to be a leader on our team.  I am a little nervous and excited at the same time.

I made the varsity basketball team as a sophomore.  My minutes on the court were limited last season because we had two outstanding upperclassmen post players who started in front of me.  I did my best to do what I could to help the team when I did get on the court.  One game I scored 16 points and led all scorers.  Although we came in second in our district last season, we did make it to the play-offs and to the third
round.  This year our goals are to win districts and go deep into the play-offs.  I am really looking forward to it.   

With regard to playing college basketball, I want to be a part of a team where I can contribute to its overall success.  I don’t need to be the star on the team.  I just want to be counted on and help the team win.

I am open to all types and sizes of school.  We are a Christian family that currently lives in Texas but my family is originally from the Maryland and Pennsylvania area.  We have many family members that still live there.  My preference would be to attend school in that area but I am open to any schools across the country.

My current area of academic interest is in nursing so a school with a health science curriculum would be preferable.
