My name is Katen Myers, also known as Kate, and I am interested in an opportunity to contribute to your college basketball program.
Over the course of my high school years, I have dedicated myself to both academics and athletics. I played AAU Basketball for two years and completed all four years of high school basketball, initially at Crimson Cliffs High School and subsequently at Hurricane High School. Additionally, I actively participated in track and field at Crimson Cliffs, earning the privilege to compete at both the BYU invitational and State championships in both years. I am set to continue my track and field pursuits during my senior year at Hurricane High School.
Coming from a family deeply involved in sports, with two older sisters who have successfully pursued university athletics, I have grown up immersed in a culture of dedication and passion for athletics, more specifically, the game of basketball. My eldest sister, Morgan, played college basketball at Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State) for two years before finishing her career at Colorado Mesa University.
Rachel, the second oldest, participated in track at Utah Tech University for two years and later at Bemidji State University. My love for basketball has been a constant throughout my life, providing solace and inspiration during both triumphs and challenges. Observing my sisters pursue their dreams in college sports has instilled in me a strong desire to follow in their footsteps.
I am confident that my commitment, work ethic, and passion for the game make me a valuable asset to your basketball program. I look forward to the opportunity to further discuss how I can contribute to the success of your team and continue my athletic journey at the collegiate level.
Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to discuss this opportunity further and provide any additional information you may require.
