Ashley Christensen '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ashley Christensen. I am a student at Ogden High School and will graduate in the year 2023. I have always had a love of sports and have played soccer, volleyball, tennis, and basketball. Sports have been a part of my life since I can remember. My dream has been to play college basketball. I have always had a goal to attend college and graduate with a 4 year degree. My goal is to go into nursing and get a nursing degree. I set goals big or small and work hard to complete them.

 Basketball has always been a passion of mine. I have always wanted to play basketball at the next level. I have always enjoyed playing team sports. On the court I have the ability to see and understand what is going on, on defense and offense. I can see the court and get the ball where it needs to be. I also have mental toughness and good basketball knowledge. I am very coachable and take what a coach teaches me onto the basketball court. 

I play basketball year round. I have played on multiple AAU teams and I have started varsity at my high school since I was a freshman. I have also played on AAU volleyball, comp soccer, and my high school tennis team.  While playing on all these teams this has contributed to my love of sports and my athleticism. On these teams, I am a team leader and try to lead my team by my example on and off the court. 

In school I work hard to get good grades and have a 3.9 GPA. I am part of the National Honors Society and H.O.S.A club. I am a leader of church youth group where we serve others and help out the community. 

My goal for the future is to attend a college where I can pursue a nursing degree and play basketball. I am open to all opportunities to pursue my love of basketball and find the right fit for me.
