Hello coaches! My name is Iliana Nye and I'm a student athlete at Weber High which is a 6A Region 1 school in Pleasant View, Utah.
I've always loved competition. Growing up I played every sport under the sun which has helped me to become a well-rounded athlete. I have a love and passion for basketball and it is my dream to play at the next level. Basketball has taught me so much including discipline and teamwork.
I pride myself on being a hard worker and I always give 100%. I love playing anywhere on the court and I would describe myself as a versatile player. Something that separates me from other athletes is that I'm very aggressive and I love playing physical, whether it's fighting for position or diving for a loose ball.
Education is also very important to me and something I take very seriously. I love learning and I don't shy away from a challenge, whether it's in the classroom or on the court. Rather than taking the easy A class, I've always taken Honors and AP classes in which I've had great success, maintaining a 3.5 GPA and passing all 5 of the AP exams I've taken.
I am currently a senior in high school and will graduate in May 2022.
