My name is Danielle Hatchett and I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. I attend Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Virginia. Since my freshman year I have had the privilege to play varsity basketball. The last three years have afforded me the opportunity to grow personally and athletically. My skills have increased greatly because I workout independent to my regular team practice because I noticed from watching game footage that I needed to strengthened certain areas. My stats are low due to the amount of playing time I have received during my freshman and sophomore years but this year I am getting more playing time which I feel will bring my stats up along with my continued dedication and determination to play smart and lead my team to victory. I am very active in school and belong to several clubs where I'm able to use my leadership skills off the court. In college I plan to major in medicine specializing in children's rare diseases where I hope to make a difference in someone's life. Although I am very serious when it comes to school and basketball I consider myself a normal junior in high school who likes to read, watch tv, listen to music, spend time with my family and friends, attend church and have fun and enjoy life.
