Chumani Chamberlain '21 Recruiting Profile

When I was seven years old Basketball became an intricate part of my life. I distinctly recall going to the BRYC development youth days every Saturday working to make more shots than I had the prior week, working to get better.  I have been fortunate enough to travel around the country and play basketball at an elite level.  Each experience at these tournaments has helped me apply more to my "toolbox" of skills. These experiences have also helped me re-evaluate my goals and aspirations as a basketball player and a person, so that I may prepare myself for college. 

Furthermore, I have learned that through teamwork, perseverance, and sacrifice our team could get the job done.  I was also faced with the obstacles of breaking my nose, having surgery, and a concussion.  Through time and resilience, I was able to get back on the court and continue to lead my team in scoring and rebounding.  I am looking for a school that can help me achieve my goals academically and athletically.  I know I have the knowledge, skills, and ability to play at the collegiate level, as I have the commitment and passion for the game to make a positive difference within your program.
