I discovered my love for basketball six years ago after moving to Pulaski County from Lee County Virginia after my father took a position at the Pulaski Church of God. I thoroughly enjoyed playing travel softball for years however once I got to play and start developing in basketball that quickly became my favorite sport.
After trying out for the Pulaski County Wolves, I was very fortunate to make the team and start traveling through Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, South Caroline, Kentucky, and Atlanta developing my skills! Some of the things that have made playing alongside the Wolves is being able to play in two National Championship Tournaments (one in Kingsport, TN and one in Orlando, Fl) in which we finished 5th and 2nd! I was also very fortunate to be rewarded in two different seasons a 1,000 point basketball (an award that would not have been possible with my amazing team)!
Because of the skills that I developed while playing AAU I along with one of my teammates we were able to make the middle school team as the only two sixth graders and I was allowed to start. In my 8th-grade year, I was blessed to be selected as the first eighth-grader to move up and play an entire Junior Varsity season. I have never played on an undefeated team, but we were able to have a 22-0 season! I was also very fortunate to be selected as the JV offensive player of the year! The following year (Freshman Year) I was blessed enough to receive multiple achievements; First Team All-District, First Team All-Region, Second Team All-State, along with Varsity offensive player of the year. The following year, I had a minor setback with a knee injury and surgery, but I worked back by the end of the season and finished with Second-team All-District, and All-RegionI. Over the Covid-19 mess, I have been able to get back to a 110%, I plan to keep working and improving my game in the future. This year (junior) with a shortened season, we were Region Champions, and I finished All-Region and All-State first team.
Lastly, I have received some fantastic direction, coaching, and advice from the people that have poured into my life but there are two thoughts that I genuinely want to resemble how I live and how I compete. "You will be impressive for how you start but remembered for how you finish," and "Talent will take you places, but character and integrity will keep you there."
