My father has been a big influence in my life for the way he has raised me to be a strong and positive woman. He convinced me to try recreational basketball at age 8. DISCIPLINE, TEAMWORK, ACCOUNTABILITY, and MENTAL TOUGHNESS is what I have learned about myself through playing basketball. My academic goals are to focus on mainly school, take responsibility for my actions, surround myself with good people, ask questions and question the answers. My collegiate goals are to invest time in my school work, sports, and to find out who I truly am as a person. I have overcome obstacles that have helped me embrace my self-awareness and use time to my advantage. The characteristics I possess are having a great work ethic, ambition and commitment to not only my academics but to basketball as well. This is why I love basketball.
