Personal Statement

My future goals include getting a scholarship to play the game I love and getting the education needed to be successful in my preferred profession. Basketball is very important to me but my education comes first. I believe that my passion, determination and work ethic towards basketball and school set me apart from the rest. Responsibility and discipline are factors that have been strengthened due to having to manage my schedule with basketball and my education. As a point guard my IQ for the game stands out along with my vision of the court. My intelligence on defense, leadership, shooting range from the three point line, and speed are other strengths of mine. I continue to work on my basketball skills and physical strengths on a daily basis.

Through this sport I have learned that no goal is reached without hard work and in order to be better than those around you, you must outwork. While conquering many obstacles I have grown mentally stronger and have gained more respect for the game. I became interested in the game of basketball at a fairly young age and started playing as soon as possible. I've loved the game ever sense. Through the years I've learned that I crave hard work and my mental toughness puts me up and above other athletes. My academic goals for high school is to graduate at the top of my class with an advanced diploma and have a head start into college. My academic goals for college include averaging A's and B's and after graduation, going back to school to get a higher diploma.

Training

  • Next level weight/physical training Mike Martin
  • 3 years
  • Train athletes ranging from middle school to professional. All training is individualize to the athlete and their sport. "MacKenzie is one of our strongest, if not the strongest female athlete we have. Shes been training with with me for the last two years and a large majority has been focused on building her strength and movement ability. At this point we consider her to have an advanced training level and are now focused on developing explosive power and speed with her. Over the next few months as well transition her to velocity based training, vertical jump, acceleration and lateral movement to make big performance increases.
  • Playmaker mini-camp Chad Mollenburg
  • 3 years
  • This level of training builds better basketball players through skill development. A heavy emphasis on efficiency of movement is applied to workout sessions. It creates, develops and enhances player movement in order to attack, create, manipulate and make plays.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
