Ayanna Parker '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ayanna Janelle Parker and I am a basketball player.  I first started playing basketball at the age of seven and I fell in love with the game on day one.  Basketball is my passion and it’s all I have wanted to do since the first day I got a ball in my hands. I also play volleyball, softball and run track but my first love is basketball.

I’m a great student with a GPA of 3.99 in all AP/Honors classes. I'm active in the community volunteering for three different non-profit organizations and I also tutor kids after school at my mother's daycare.  I was inducted into the National Honor Society and plan on going into the health filed upon graduation.

My immediate goals are to finish my high school career with a basketball championship.  My near-future goal is to continue to play basketball at a four-year college or university.  

For the past four years, I have gotten serious about working hard on my game every day. My dad and I go to the gym at 4:00 AM and get workouts in before school. My hard work paid off with me being selected to be a member of the prestigious Boo Williams Summer League (BWSL) Richmond AAU basketball program. It also helped me on my high school team.  I started every game at point guard for  Brooke Point High School in Stafford Virginia. This year I averaged 12 pts, four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game and was selected 2nd Team All-District 15 (5A). I was selected my Freshman year also.

I’m just looking for a university/college to give me a chance to play at the next level. I don’t have any preferences as of yet and I’m open to speaking to anyone. I am a natural leader, smart player and overall great athlete that loves the game and hates losing. Any college that recruits me will be getting an aggressive, steady, trustworthy player that will instantly make their team better. Thank you for your time.
