I love the game of basketball. I am 145 pounds but quick on my feet, I am 5'5 though i like to think I am 6 foot. I work really hard during every practice, when i catch myself goofing around during practice i tell myself "stop, and get focused." Others laugh at me but I shake them off because i am chasing my dream. I am extremely competitive, even if i am am playing rock, paper, scissors, I want to win. My goal is to attend a Division 1 University and study political science or criminal justice. I have a heart of a champion that was given to me by my mother. I watch my mother struggle everyday to take care of us, she is the reason why i am so head strong and determined. I know that when i go to college it won't be easy but with support and strong morals, i will make it. I am very humble and painfully shy, but when i step on that court, I go nuts! I get my teammates fired up and sometimes even my coach. Basketball brings out a whole different side of me. I strive to be the best but never perfect because perfection leaves no room to get better. My goal in life is to be the ultimate role model. Currently, I am the platoon leader of Alpha 2 in the Lancer Battalion, it is teaching me valuable leadership attributes and caring about the lives of others. As an officer i must hold myself to a higher standard and lead by example. I am very excited to compete in upcoming tournaments and audition in front of college coaches. Thanks for taking your time to read this, There are plenty more things to know about my life and what I plan to do with it.
