Personal Statement

Hello Coaches! My name is Savanna Samuelson. I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile and learn more about my goals.

I truly enjoy the game of basketball and have been working to improve my skills for several years so I can compete at the college level. My goal is to bring my passion for the game to a college where I can also continue with my plan of graduating in the areas of Biology and Sports Kinesiology (Coaching).

My coaches would describe me as a true competitor with an extremely high level of self-accountability. Teammates would describe me as encouraging towards others, focused on strong defense, and good teammate. With this approach I have received a Coaches Award for my drive to improve while helping others.

The main item that separates me from others is the ability to overcome challenges. My mother is a cancer survivor and her strength has inspired me to push through tough times.  This has helped me fight through serious injuries in my Sophomore and Senior High School seasons.

I would like to bring this work ethic and drive to the right university. I am looking for a coaching staff who will help me and my teammates achieve our long-term goals, inspires us to become better, and recognizes hard work.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
