Making the one's team for sand volleyball during my sophomore year is the highlight of my high school career. However, my freshman year shaped me more as a player due to unfortunate circumstances. Since our team was so small, (only 10 players -- the minimum to have a complete sand team), and it was our first year having a sand volleyball team, things were often chaotic. I was moved around often and had various different partners. That situation has now made me comfortable with sudden, sometimes inconvenient, adjustments, and it has made me very grateful to now have a consistent partner who I love playing with.
My academic goals for high school are to challenge myself by taking more difficult courses and to work hard in order to receive good grades in those classes. Meanwhile, in college, I am looking forward to studying and pursuing a career path that holds my interest. I'm looking for a beach volleyball program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically in college.
I believe that my hard work, dedication, and leadership skills will have a powerful influence on your college program. Being apart of a wonderful school team and club has helped me grow tremendously as a player and as a person on the sand court. I have learned the value of teamwork, communication, and leadership throughout my years of playing sand volleyball, and I hope to exhibit these character traits on your team.
