Charlotte Gibson '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Charlotte Gibson and I have been playing competitive Volleyball most of my life. I started off very young, on a YMCA team my dad coached, and then joined a local Club team called Spiral Volleyball when I was ten. I played on that indoor team for four years, learning the sport, developing my skills, and working my way up beginning on the Two's team and ultimately becoming a starter on the One's. In the 6th Grade, I decided to try Beach Volleyball, and I was instantly hooked - ultimately selected to be a part of the One Beach Volleyball Club - a club I am still a part of today. After a couple of years playing both indoor and beach for my high school and both Club Teams, I made the decision to focus all of my time on Beach Volleyball.

I love the sport of Beach Volleyball - how strategic it is, how much more mental the game can be, and working with and motivating a partner to build a team together. As a player, you will find that I am very coachable, more than willing to put the time in to develop my skills, and maintain a positive attitude regardless of the situation. It has been my dream for several years now to continue competing at the collegiate level - and I will bring all my drive, work ethic, and enthusiasm with me.

College is also very important to me. The same drive for excellence I have in the sand is what I bring to the classroom, as well. I have excelled academically through high school and plan to continue this while earning my Undergraduate degree. My plan is to major in Biology with a focus on ultimately attending Medical School to study to be a Doctor.
