I first fell in love with volleyball in 6th grade when my cousins introduced me to the sport on a family vacation. The following year I tried out for my school team and was selected as one of the starters out of 102 students. I continued playing indoor for school and then eventually playing indoor club volleyball for 4 years. After my high school freshman year my family and I moved to Louisiana where I began playing beach volleyball. I immediately knew that I wanted to play beach volleyball at the collegiate level. The excitement I feel when taking the court is hard to put into words. I love being outside and in the sand, working as a team on the court and I especially love the strategy of the game. In addition to practicing locally here in Arkansas, I also travel to New Orleans quarterly and Dallas twice a month to compete and train. When I'm not practicing I'm in the gym focusing on increasing my strength, speed and agility. During my time playing volleyball, I've learned that anything worth doing won't come easy. It takes persistence, dedication and drive to compete at the next level.
