Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Eleanor Glowrey. I am 16 years old and in year 12. I am from England and am currently a student at Putney High School. Currently I play for the U19 England national squad .

When I was 13 years old I discovered volleyball and fell in love instantly. I have since worked extremely hard to get where I am now. Within my first year of playing I joined the U17 volleyball England squad and am currently playing for their U19 team as well as my club, Richmond volleyball.

This current season I have  won Interregional's (playing for London) and Youth Games (playing for my borough Wandsworth) , without dropping a set. I am placing in two stars and U18s and am entering higher level tournaments such as three stars. This year I won silver in U16 Nationals at Sandbanks after an extremely tight Finals. I've been honoured to be taught be some of the best beach athletes and coaches in England at this time as well as being selected for the National England Beach squad.

I am a very competitive person that works hard and puts 100% into everything I do. I believe teamwork is essential, as well as team spirit. I am highly passionate, and it is my dream to be able to play volleyball in the US.
