Giani Boerner '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello and thank you for your interest! 

I am currently a Sophomore at Newton South High School (MA) but I just recently finalized my reclass at The Rivers School (MA) into the 2027 class! I am a 5'11 split blocker/defender for beach and for indoor I am currently an outside hitter for SMASH Volleyball Club's (Newton, MA) top U16 team!  

 This summer I will be competing at Coed Open/AA and Women's Open/AA level. At the East Coast Championships in November 2023 (in Clearwater Florida), I finished in 9th place. A while ago I also had the opportunity to spend a week in Hermosa Beach training with Elite Beach Volleyball Club. In 2024 I am 100% focused on competing at Adult Beach Open tournaments to improve my game and confidence. During the spring season, I am a manager for the Newton South High School Volleyball Boys team and I also coach children under the age of 12 at our Volleyball Youth Program and kids of all ages at the Beach Volleyball Youth Program. I like traveling, hanging out with friends, volunteering, and you can find me on the ski and snowboard slopes in the winter.
