Alani Anoa’i '22 Recruiting Profile

Talofa. I come from a long line of strong Samoan athletes; although we are physically able we are raised humble and appreciative for all things. I could tell you about my National Club indoor experience but I would rather tell you why my heart focuses on beach volleyball.   I lost my father a few years ago and I realized in order to find my happiness I may have to change paths.  I stoped playing indoor club abs started my focus on beach even though it meant it would change my college opportunities.  I am responsible for my success and I am only in control of myself and the outcomes I create by choices I make in a game or in life. The rapid pace with just 2 players is rewarding; I also played the last 2 years on adults quad teams.
 I am a fierce  competitor who can control  her emotions on the court. My mom taught me the loss of my dad does not have to defeat me; and that loss has actually showed me who I am.   I believe in order to carry true confidence on a court and off the court you have to feel like the path your on is one you purposely picked.
