Samantha Coe '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Samantha Coe. This year concluded my 8th year of club volleyball and my love for the sport has only grown since. I am very passionate about the sport and every time I step on the court I have a new goal. I strive to be a leader and give 100% all the time. In my 8 years of club volleyball, 6 of those years have been at the national level, traveling and playing all different types of teams. I’ve also played Beach volleyball for 8 years. My partners and I have qualified and attended junior beach nationals 4 of those years. At USAV Beach Nationals 2022, my partner and I advanced to the gold bracket and finished 9th overall. Volleyball has taught me so much, including physical and mental toughness. I have learned how to adapt to different teammates, courts/environments, and I've been told I’m very coachable. I have played every position on the court at least one full season. This last year a few of my achievements include 3rd year on varsity award, team captain, best defensive player award. Additionally I received 1st team Licking County league award as a sophomore. 

My vision for college includes a medium to large school with lots of spirit and a widespread set of academic opportunities. I know I will work with animals and study their behavior, hopefully pursuing a career in wildlife biology. I hope to have a healthy balance of academics, athletics, and social activities. My goal as an athlete is to grow and learn through different opportunities and experiences, helping others along the way as well. I realize this kind of lifestyle takes strong mental and physical stability and focus. Through hard work, perseverance, and the support of peers/family, I believe this future is 100% possible for me.
