Renata Dykstra '22 Recruiting Profile

My competitive volleyball career started when I was 12 years old with the Ottawa Mavericks Volleyball Club in Ottawa, ON. I have played multiple positions throughout the years including, left and right side hitter, libero and middle. This past summer, I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Seattle, WA in order to continue my growth as an indoor and beach volleyball athlete with Dakine Volleyball Club. This was the first time I had committed to playing beach volleyball, as the season in my hometown is very short and the accessibility is limited.  The learning and growth I experienced with Dakine as a beach and an indoor volleyball player was incomparable. For the future, I am eager to pursue beach volleyball alongside my post-secondary education in the United States!
