My collegiate goals are dual purpose...to achieve both my highest academic potential and success while also working to my fullest potential and highest level of competitive success representing a top level school as 3 board diver. I train and compete 1 meter, 3 meter and platform. I have full collegiate quality DD's on all three boards. I've made USA Diving JO Nationals on all 3 boards the last twoyears, which I am in my 3rd year of diving. I am a prior competitive gymnast.
Here are a few of the qualities and attributes that I possess that separate me from other recruits:
1) My positive attitude.
2) I am a very coachable athlete, take instruction and make correction quickly.
4) I don't settle for failure or mediocrity.
5) I am as diligent and determined to achieve success in my academic studies as I am in diving.
6) I work well when pushed to the next level and surrounded by higher level competitors in the classroom and in the pool.
7) I set a solid example and I am well liked by coaches and teachers because of my hard work ethics, my honesty, and my loyalty to my teammates and classmates.
8) I have strong time management skills, allowing me to juggle rigorous academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities successfully.
9) I am strongly supported by my family to succeed in whatever I choose to undertake.
10) Diving is a means to expand my collegiate opportunities and ultimately my college experience, but with an end goal of succeeding academically foremost because I know diving, like any sport, won't last forever.
This 2016 high school diving season as a sophomore, I am FHSAA Florida 2016 State Diving Championship Runner Up, the Regional Champion, the District Champion, and the CCAC Conference Champion, CCAC 1st team All Conference 2016, 2106 USA Today/NDN Female Swimming & Diving Female Athlete of the Year 2016 top 3 Finalist.
I repeated that in the 2017 season as a junior--winning Conference, District, Regionals, all with personal bests, and placing 3rd at the State Championship. 1st team All Conference 2017, and also USA Today/NDN Female Swimming & Diving Female Athlete of the Year top 3 Finalist for second year in a row (tbd 5/18)
Diving now for 3 years total, I am proud and will continue to push forward at the same aggressive pace throughout my high school career and year round to be USA Nationals competitive. I have dedicated myself to training at the highest level possible and to continue to progress at an aggressive pace. I train Dryland rigorously and I work with a nutritionist as well. I train 30+ hours a week 1st at Ft. Lauderdale Dive Team and then transitioned in 1/18 to Ripfest Diving Academy in 1/2018 to train full time.
Qualified for Zones USA Diving Nationals 2017 and on Platform to Nationals 2017--finished 11th in prelims on 16-18 platform--first year competing USA Diving and 1st year ever training & competing platform.
