My goal is to earn a scholarship to a division 1 college which has high academic standards as well as a top-tiered diving program. I am very proud of the fact that I maintain an A average in advanced studies at Olympia High School while competing at a high level in the sport that I love. With a background in competitive gymnastics, I transitioned to the sport of diving when I was 13 years old. Just 3 years later, I placed 22 on platform for the 16-18 age group in the semifinals at the 2107 Nationals and competed in the preliminaries at Nationals on 1 meter and 3 meter. At the 2106 Nationals, I placed 13th on platform in the semifinals, narrowly missing a spot in the finals. As a sophomore, I finished 2nd place in the State of Florida class 4A 1M springboard. I have been fortunate to be coached by Mark Ruiz and Yadiel Gamboa, who both have helped me become a proficient diver in such a short time. At the same time, I know I still have upside potential. In college, I hope to continue to improve and take my diving to the next level. I am driven to be the best I can be - both athletically and academically.
