I started diving 3 years ago after I had to end my 11 year long gymnastics career due to injury. Since then I have been able to qualify for Gwinnett County Championships and Georgia State Championships. Being on my school's Swim and Dive team has given me incredible opportunities to strengthen my leadership skills and grow as an athlete but also an individual.
In addition to diving, I am in multiple clubs and I am also the video creator for Parkview High School; which means I come up with concepts for videos and then create the videos for our football and baseball teams as well as several other sporting events. This has enabled me to build confidence, communication, and leadership skills. It's also allowed me to become more connected with my community I've been able to spread my work and allow others to gain an opportunity to create media content for our school with the Parkview Athletic Media Club. Which enables to students to go out and attend a live sporting event to take pictures or videos, which they then create graphics/videos with. As well as the hard work and determination, I've always felt that the team bond and the camaraderie in sports is the most important part of any sport.
In college I plan on majoring in some sort of Film studies program, but also hope to expand my knowledge of leadership, and be able to support my community where ever that may be. I also aim to further improve my diving skills, and be able to experience new adventures, see new perspectives and meet different people.
