Prior to starting competitive dive training in June 2019, I was a competitive, artistic gymnast for 9 years. I ended my gymnastics career as a competing Level 9 gymnast. During my gymnastics career, I competed and placed in vault, bars, beam, and floor. I was a Level 9 state and regional all-around qualifier. During my Freshman year of high school, I was competing as a Level gymnast 9 and joined my high school's varsity swim and dive team. Despite minimal dive training, I placed placed 4th at the MD Regional Championships and 12th at the MD State Championships. At the end of my Freshman year, I decided to transition to full-time competitive dive training with Montgomery Dive Club National Team. I had discovered my love for the sport of diving! After only 7 months of competitive dive training, I competed my first AAU diving meet with JO lists for 1m and 3m and, am proud to say, I placed in the 1m event. Since that time, despite the disruption of Covid, I have continued my dive training and expanded my dive lists on both 1m and 3m. Most recently, I competed at the 2021 USA Diving Region 8 Championships and placed 7th on 3m and 11th on 1m. I qualified for Zones Championships on both boards. I feel that my progress in the sport reflects my athletic potential, motivation, and future success as a collegiate diver. My goal is join a college swim and dive family and to pursue studies to become a physical therapist.
