I am in my senior year of high school and this is my first year of diving, but I have 11 years of gymnastics experience. I have multiple 2.0 or higher DD dives, and I am willing to learn more and perfect my old and new dives. I have also tried all the dives my coach has asked me to, he knows what I can do and wouldn't ask me to try a dive if I couldn't do it. Even if I try the dive and it doesn't work out I don't loose anything for trying. Gymnastics has taught me many lessons I have brought with me to dive for example, you have to have a growth mindset. You can't sit around and dwell on the dives from the past, you have to go to practice and try even harder to fix the problems so they won't happen again. I also strive on academics, I make sure I am learning and understanding the information while also obtaining good grades. I have been on the honor roll my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I would like to thank my coaches, family, and friends for supporting me through my journey, and I have verbally committed to Youngstown State University.
