I have only been diving for three years, since 2016 my freshman year, and my coach pulled my mom aside after our conference meet and told her that she sees so much potential in me. I think my 14 years of prior experience with gymnastics has defiantly made a huge impact in my diving experience and has had a major role in how easy it was for me to get the hang of diving.
A couple of things that make me stand out is, my 14 years of highly competitive gymnastics at Gym America in Ann Arbor MI. Another thing is my first year of diving I was in the varsity team and received my varsity letter. Finally, only after three months of diving my coach, who is the owner of the club I dive at Legacy, pulled my mom aside and told her she saw potential in me going a long way in diving and sees potential in me to dive in college.
I have been told from multiple different teacher as well as employers, that once I put my mind to something I go out and accomplish it, no matter what obstacles are in my way, I work though them and grow from what holds me back. This is true in my academics, athletics, work place as well as my personal life. I want to keep my doors open, for the potential of diving in college and I am determined to do what I need to do in the coming year to get there, athletically and academically.
