I have always been a hardworking and determined student and athlete. After doing gymnastics for 13 years the impact of the sport became too much for my body, so I decided it was time to switch to a lower impact sport. Diving is perfect because it was much less on my body, but I am still able to incorporate the skills I learned in gymnastics. Diving is an ideal sport for me since I love flying through the air and time in the water. As a lifeguard, Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver, and swimmer I feel at home in the water. Switching in the beginning of my Junior year is difficult, but I have made a lot of progress so far. I have been diving since 8/15/2022 and have come such a long way since then. I have competed in high school meets and qualified for high school states. When diving I always try to get better with each practice and make every correction I am given. One of my favorite parts of diving is the team that comes with the sport. I would love to be able to continue diving in college because it would make for an even better college experience. I thrive on competition and challenging myself.
