Shelby Bruce '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shelby Bruce, I am on the Buckhorn high school golf team. I have tried other sports such as volleyball and softball but golf is my favorite. I started out in Jr PGA and kids golf. I have been ranked #1 and #2 on the high school team since 7th grade. I also take lessons from Drew Harris at the Madison golf center. Playing lessons on the golf course are by far the best. In the 8th grade I qualified for sub state and then sectionals. Unfortunately, I missed my freshman year due to the pandemic. My sophomore year was a little shaky in the beginning however by the end I made the all county team and qualified for sectionals. I continue to practice daily, take lessons, and have added TPI strength training to my routine. My goal is for my hard work to pay off in a golf scholarship.
